Global Sales Launch
Two new ways to win control room deals
Team, today we launch two new Boxilla capabilities that make Emerald control rooms more resilient and easier to scale: FailSafe and Canvas. Both are ready to sell now. Here is what they do, who they are for, and exactly how your customers get them.
| Product |
What it delivers |
How to get it |
| FailSafe |
Business continuity clustering across two sites |
Firmware upgrade for existing Boxilla customers |
| Canvas |
Video walls designed and managed in Boxilla |
License based (four tiers) |

New Capability
FailSafe
Business continuity for Boxilla
FailSafe keeps operators in control even if a Boxilla node or an entire location goes down. It clusters four Boxilla appliances across a primary site and a secondary site, so management stays online through hardware failures, network events, or a full site outage. If one node drops, the cluster keeps running and operators never lose access to their sources.
| ▪ Four Boxilla appliances in one cluster, split across two sites | | ▪ Automatic continuity if a node or a whole site goes offline | | ▪ Operators keep uninterrupted access to KVM and VM sources | | ▪ Built for mission environments where downtime is not an option |
How your customers get it
FailSafe is delivered as a firmware upgrade. Existing Boxilla customers enable it by updating to the latest firmware on a qualifying four appliance cluster. There is no separate software license to buy for the capability. This is a fast, low friction upgrade path, and a strong reason to reconnect with your installed base and pull them onto current firmware.

New Capability
Canvas
Video walls, designed and managed in Boxilla
Canvas lets operators design and drive video walls directly from Boxilla. One DESKVUE unit powers four displays, and every layout is built and managed inside the familiar Boxilla interface. Start with a single unit and scale to larger walls by adding licensed units, all controlled from one place.
| ▪ Design and manage wall layouts natively in Boxilla | | ▪ One DESKVUE unit drives up to four displays | | ▪ Scales from four displays to large multi display walls |
Position it right: when a DESKVUE unit is assigned to a Canvas video wall, it acts as a wall endpoint and does not provide local KVM control at that seat. Sell Canvas for wall driving roles, and keep separate DESKVUE seats for operators who still need local KVM.
How your customers get it
Canvas is license based. Pick the license that matches the size of the wall. Licensing scales by the number of DESKVUE units, and each unit drives up to four displays.
| License |
DESKVUE units |
Displays |
| EMD-VWC-LIC1 | 1 | up to 4 | | EMD-VWC-LIC2 | 2 | up to 8 | | EMD-VWC-LIC4 | 4 | up to 16 | | EMD-VWC-LIC8 | 8 | up to 32 |
Where to sell both
Command centers, PSAP and emergency dispatch, transportation operations centers, defense and government control rooms, broadcast, and industrial operations. Any customer who cannot afford downtime is a FailSafe conversation. Any customer running a wall, or asking for one, is a Canvas conversation.
